Financial models aren't magic. They're conversations with numbers.

Most people think financial modeling is about complex formulas. It's actually about asking better questions. We teach you how to structure problems, not just plug in equations.

How We Actually Teach This

Financial modeling courses usually throw formulas at you. We start with scenarios that actually happen in business and work backwards to build the tools you need.

01

Real Business Problems

Start with actual scenarios from Australian businesses. A retail expansion decision. A manufacturing cost analysis. Investment timing questions that keep CFOs awake at night.

02

Build Your Framework

Learn to structure problems before you touch a spreadsheet. What data matters? What assumptions drive outcomes? How do you test if your model makes sense?

03

Practice With Feedback

Submit your models. Get detailed reviews that explain why something works or doesn't. Iteration matters more than perfection on the first attempt.

What You'll Actually Build Over Six Months

Months 1-2: Foundation

Financial statement analysis that goes beyond ratios. Understanding cash flow patterns. Building sensitivity tables that reveal what actually drives business value.

Most people skip this part and wonder why their models fall apart later. We spend time here because it matters.

Months 3-4: Application

Valuation models for real companies. Merger scenarios with actual complications. Project finance structures that account for risk layers banks actually care about.

This is where theory meets messy reality. Your models will have errors. That's expected and useful.

Months 5-6: Integration

Complete financial models for business decisions. Portfolio work that demonstrates capability. Presenting findings to people who'll challenge your assumptions.

Program runs October 2025 through March 2026. Applications open June 2025.

What Makes This Different

Financial modeling training usually promises too much or teaches too little. We're somewhere in between, focused on building actual capability rather than checking boxes.

What This Isn't

A collection of Excel tricks you'll memorize and forget. Formulas matter less than understanding what you're trying to calculate.

A guarantee of employment outcomes. We can't promise jobs. We can help you develop skills that employers value.

A shortcut to expertise. Six months gives you a solid foundation. Mastery takes years of practice and varied experience.

What You Get

Structured curriculum based on how financial analysts actually work, not just academic theory.

Direct feedback on your work from people who build models professionally. Specific critiques, not generic praise.

Portfolio pieces that demonstrate capability to potential employers or clients. Evidence matters more than certificates.

"The program forced me to think through problems methodically. I still reference my notes from the sensitivity analysis module when I'm building new models at work."

"What helped most wasn't the formulas but learning to question assumptions. That mindset shift changed how I approach every financial decision now."
